Education

MS College, Office of Continuing Education, has approved this training opportunity for 1.6 CEUs. There is a fee of $20.00 dollars payable to MS College
 

CRC
The Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) has approved the 2024 Mississippi Trauma Informed Care Conference for up to 16.5 hours. The following sessions are approved for General Hours: K1-K8, A1, A4, B2, B4, C2, C5, D3, and E3. B1 and E2 are approved for Ethics Hours. D2 is approved for Addiction Counseling. CRCC Pre-approval number: 60007985433.

Social Workers

The Social Work Continuing Education Committee of the MSBOESWMFC5T has approved the 2024 Mississippi Trauma Informed Care Conference for up to 16.5 hours. The following sessions are approved for General Hours, K1-K8, A1-A5, B1-B5, C2-C5, D1-D4, E1, E3 -E4.  Cultural Diversity approved sessions are D2, D3, E3 and K3. Ethics approved session is E1

NCC/LPC 

2024 Mississippi Trauma Informed Care Conference has been approved by NBCC for up to 16.5 NBCC credits. Sessions approved for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Prestige Professional Development and Consulting is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. NBCC Approval No. SP-4656.
The following sessions are approved: K1- K8, A1, A3- A6, B1, B3, C2, C5, D1-D3, E2-E3. B1 and E2 are approved for Ethics. D2, D3, E3, and K3 are approved for Cultural Diversity.

MAAP

The Mississippi Association of Addiction Professionals has approved the conference for 16.5 hours – Approval No. 24.280

DMH Credentials

The Mental Health Association of South Mississippi (MHASM) is designated as a CE provider by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health, Division of Professional Licensure and Certification. Approval has been granted for 16.5 hours for Certified/Licensed Mental Health Therapists, Certified/Licensed Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Therapists. Certified Peer Support Specialists is approved for 15.5 hours, K4, E1 and E2 were not approved for CPSS hours.

Licensed DMH Administrators approval is pending.

Verification of Attendance

  • Each person must log in using their first and last name as their profile name. This should also be the name you use when registering.

  • As attendees log in and out for each session, it is documented with a time stamp.

  • You will not receive CE credit for a session if you log in more than 10 minutes after the session starts or leave more than 10 minutes before the session ends. 

  • Moderators will be available to monitor attendance at sessions as well as chat room activity.

  • A confirmation code will be given at the end of the session for Social Workers.

  • Evaluation completions will be verified along with time stamps/attendance logs before CE Certificates are granted.

  • Evaluations will be posted on the conference Zoom format and the Trauma Conference website to download. Following the conference, each participant will email the completed evaluations to mstraumaconference@gmail.com. The deadline for sending evaluations is October 18, 2024.

How The Virtual Platform Works

Equipment Recommendations: Participants will need the appropriate equipment to participate (i.e. laptop, desktop, etc...). You will be required to sign in to our Zoom virtual platform by entering your name. Workshops require attendee interaction to verify attendance, chat, Q & A session, etc.
 

Equipment Limitations: Cell phones may limit your interaction, and impact your ability to verify your attendance to receive continuing education credit.
